From today—January 20th—through January 29th the sun will be moving through the first decan of Aquarius, only hours since the sun began separating from its annual conjunction with Pluto—and this years annual conjunction occurred within that first degree of Aquarius, just as the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction from 2020 did… so it’s a pretty big deal, celestially and otherwise.
Also, it should be stated that the annual solar shift from Capricorn energies into Aquarian energies is always quite a shift…
Though both are ruled by Saturn, these two zodiacal energies could not be more different—because in Aquarius, Uranus co-rules with Saturn, changing everything.
Historically, Saturn associated itself with Capricorn and Aquarius, chiefly, and as the boundary between the known solar system we know today (as we still knew nothing of what existed beyond Saturn)—which is to say, Saturn governed that boundary, everything within it, and all that was to be discovered beyond…
When Uranus was discovered, this broke through all known understandings of what was previously understood to be true—which is exactly what Uranus symbolizes within our chart. Uranus always symbolizes that which is caught off-guard, or that which is unexpected, or groundbreaking, or trailblazing—breakthroughs and breakdowns—Uranus represents the essence of that which causes us to flip, freak, or frenzy—Uranian influences wake us up, so that we may become open for potential enlightenment.
Even when Aquarius was ruled only by Saturn, centuries ago—it was considered from the perspective of ‘the beyond’, beyond the boundary of Saturn… beyond the unknowns.
The first decan of Aquarius is associated with the 5 of swords in the tarot—a card that tarot reader/writer Theresa Reed claims is her least favorite card in the deck…
The 5 of swords is most connected to ‘dishonor, hostility, criminal activity, rip-off, abuse, and a lack of morals…’
Reed continues, that this card is “always a sign of trouble…” if it shows up in any way.
Let’s delineate a bit further…
