The Sun Through the 3rd Decan of Aquarius
Between February 8th and the 18th the sun will move through the third decan of Aquarius—which is to say: through the last ten degrees of Aquarius, degrees twenty through thirty.
Or, as TS Chang writes, “we come to the end of a journey begun 20 days ago…”
In this time, the sun will apply its annual conjunction to Saturn—exact on February 16th at 27*44’ Aquarius—and this is definitely enough for one week! As I wrote within the Planetary Planner/February Issue, ‘doing what needs to be done…’ is an egregious understatement.
This annual conjunction is a really big deal—it begins a brand new cycle/relationship between the sun and Saturn for the next entire year, and definitely worth $8/month to learn more about… where this occurs within your chart can actually be charted by year, providing much in regard to learning lessons and following through, forward progress, and where your endurance should be applied.
The reality of this annual sun/Saturn conjunction occurring within the third decan of Aquarius is further suggestion of the extremely weighted delicacy in your decisions…
Below I will delineate the meanings of this conjunction by house within your chart.
Otherwise, as you likely know, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn traditionally, and Uranus modernly, though this decan is governed by the moon—so this immediately suggests heavy vulnerabilities and potential liabilities to contend with through the next ten days, in more ways than one.
Also, it’s worth noting that no planets are exalted in Aquarius, though the sun is in its detriment… so, theoretically, not even the sun can outshine the harsher realities and landscapes offered through Aquarius—in other words: any rewards offered here are earned the hard way and anything gained without endurance is not to be trusted.
Expect this week to be a bit more than you care to handle—particularly emotionally.
And the tarot card associated with this decan, too—yikes…
How is one to ‘avoid the drama’ here?
