From January 20th through January 29th—the sun will be moving through the first decan of Aquarius… only hours since the sun began separating from its annual conjunction with Pluto—which likely penetrated through to the depths of something quite substantial, if not your very self—the sun will now begin applying the Nodes by square, which will exact on the 28th, as well as connect to Mars by trine on the 29th.
Also, it should be stated that the annual solar shift from Capricorn energies into Aquarian energies is always quite shift…
Though both are ruled by Saturn, these two zodiacal energies could not be more different… because in Aquarius—Uranus co-rules with Saturn, changing everything.
Historically, the Saturn associated with Capricorn used to be the boundary between the known solar system we still know today—and the beyond…
Yet, when Uranus was discovered, this broke through all known understandings of what was previously understood to be true—which is exactly what Uranus symbolizes within our charts. Uranus always symbolizes that which is caught off-guard, or that which is unexpected, or groundbreaking—breakthroughs and breakdowns—Uranus represents the essence of that which causes us to flip, freak, or frenzy—Uranian influences wake us up, so that we may become enlightened.
Even when Aquarius was ruled only by Saturn, centuries ago—it was considered from the perspective of ‘the beyond’, beyond the boundary of Saturn… the unknowns.
This first decan of Aquarius is associated to the 5 of swords in the tarot—a card that tarot reader/writer Theresa Reed claims is her least favorite card in the deck… as this is the card most connected to ‘dishonor, hostility, criminal activity, rip-off, abuse, and a lack of morals…’
Reed continues, that this card is “always a sign of trouble...” if it shows up in a reading.
But this isn’t a reading—it’s a decan review. It appears as though those Uranian influences are up to something—so let’s delineate a bit further…
