MERCURIAL MACHINATIONS
Mercury in Virgo Trine Uranus in Taurus at 18*54'
Continued messages and realizations, sparked and received… especially as Mercury connects to Uranus by trine—quite literally, our thoughts and imaginings, ideas, and perceptions are being sparked, charged, revived, renewed, disrupted, challenged, and/or revitalized in an effort to seek new ways of being in the world… as in: Being in the world, within your own personal reality.
A trine, of course, implies an incredible ease to this literal translation—however, what is less known about trines is that they require your actual effort for anything to come of the smooth and easy energy; otherwise, these energies end up simply feeling sort of lazy and carefree. This is also something of a special connection in aspect, as Mercury—even when retrograde, which will occur next month—does not connect to Uranus again until November, in tandem with the Nodes, in opposition—in t-square to Saturn… not the same at all.
I would try to take advantage of these energies, should you have any Mercurial-type engagements or errands to tend to… this trine will be exact on August 16th.
This trine occurs through a degree that associates itself with ‘a totalization of purpose and effort…’ so should your mercurial engagements and errands require “the need of cooperative effort in reaching any ‘new world’ of experience…” this would be a good time to tend to these potentialities—this degree definitely feels fated, particularly toward these messages abound, new realizations, and otherwise higher-ground perspectives upon matters within one’s personal reality.
Astrologer Dane Rudhyar wrote of this transcription, that “it is difficult to know… what seems to be clearly implied is a process in which a group is journeying together—thus linking consciousnesses and energies—in order to safely reach the goal of destiny… here there is no longer any sense of competition, but an ordered and structured endeavor…” which is to rationalize that whatever engagements and errands you may be working on, or toward—that these are, again, somewhat beyond you… that part of your recent abilities to raise your consciousness—should you have participated—was in an effort to experience your own alignment in participation with an/Other’s alignment… in a way that is likely still yet to be understood or clarified.
Further, Rudhyar adds that through this degree—which is to say, through your new ideas and thoughts, perceptions and goals, the ones being sparked and liberated, or challenged or disrupted (should you be moving in an inappropriate direction)—that “the past is entirely left behind…”
Again—turning point.
So, how would one actually take advantage of these energies?
Mercury in Virgo is very keen on details… pay attention to the details—you’ll likely catch little things you may not have otherwise: in your favor, or not.
Mercury in Virgo is also a terribly witty problem-solver—so any type of pest, from payroll to puzzles—this energy is innately attuned to see everything… also—computer stuff: if you can’t figure it out yourself, have your computer pro work on it tomorrow.
Meditate. Visualize. Write down your dreams—write down nearly anything and everything! —you just never know if something should pop up out of your subconscious…
You may feel the need to throw a fit. Honestly. As long as you're using your words... and you express yourself with a uniquely perplexing vocabulary.
Read a book about ESP, aliens, tarot, or the occult, or astrology—(leave all the woo-woo out of it!—you’re looking for technical, actual, practicum) —or anything that feels a little ‘out there’… or, simply, something you would typically not read but feel a little curious about.
Go out of your way to learn something new, or experience something new, or even do something new, or different—different from how you would typically do it—tomorrow would be an ideal day to simply take a route to and from work or make/order something unusual for dinner.
Enjoy these energies! And if they’re disruptive, it’s likely because you’re trying to force yourself in a direction you may not be needing to go toward… because these should be creative, inspiring, insightfully sparking, and genius-jolting energies.
