Mercury Rx in Taurus

As of April 22nd—last Saturday—Mercury has been moving retrograde within the sign of Taurus.

Mercury stationed at 15*31’ Taurus April 19th and began its retrograde at 15*30’ on April 22nd and will continue moving backward until May 12th at 5*60’ Taurus, stationing through May 16th, at 5*59’ Taurus.

I’ve mentioned in previous posts that this particular retrograde is somewhat significant in that it carries what astrologers refer to as ‘mutual reception’, which is to refer to Mercury moving through a sign that Venus rules as Venus is moving through a sign in which Mercury rules, simultaneously, offering each planet—which would otherwise have very little commonality within the sign—a bit of a boon in its mission. This said, Venus moves into Cancer on May 7th—so mutual reception will endure until then. After which, Mercury will station and begin to travel back over previously covered ground twice over… Mercury will then need to understand the energies of Taurus through its own machinations, without the gracious ease of Venusian input.

In other words, Mercury will need to understand the heart-work of the matter without its head-work getting in the way within Taurean motivations.

I’ve also mentioned in a previous post—to review here—that through this first week of stationing Mercury is applying a conjunction to Uranus—and then, within mere days of a would-be conjunction: Mercury stations and begins moving backward, away from Uranus…

The movements Mercury has yet to make include: an inferior conjunction with the sun at 11*20’ Taurus on May 1st; and a near-conjunction to the NN—similar to its previous hit-and-miss with Uranus—around mid-May…

Mercury will finally meet up with Uranus, in conjunction, on June 4th at 20*25’ Taurus and will move into Gemini on June 11th.
