Come next weekend, on September 11th, the sun will connect to Uranus by ‘harmonious’ trine through a degree that describes elimination and competition.
The sun represents our willpower, and our inner strength, as well as our ego drive—the sun embodies that which we require as well as how we manage to achieve that which we require… and so where the sun moves within our chart is naturally where our focus goes, as it is through this house (where the sun is within your personal chart) each season that you need to tend to this house’s matters.
A trine to Uranus, simply, implies a new way of being, sometimes contrary to how you typically operate or navigate yourself or your needs—or a new (and unexpectedly insightful) way of requiring that which you need, or a new way of managing how you achieve that which you require… and this trine occurred last year on September 6th at 14*40’ Virgo (though this time the degree described refinement and gracefulness…)
So the breakdown of this transit, then, quite literally, this year, suggests rather simply—it is likely that direct competition, or a creatively competitive urge, will inspire you (within the area of your chart that the sun is moving…) as you focus to further refine and/or improve how you manage to achieve those typically assumed basic needs—the fundamental fibers through which your foundations require…
This competitiveness may or may not create tension in/from others… a typical sun/Uranus trine tends to create expressions that are more flowing, or even inadvertently welcomed rather than upsetting or problematic. These competitive vibrations could simply imply urgency, or impatience, or even a personal quest of will through which you are seeking to learn of that which you are truly capable.
Still, around the days before and after September 11/12th, there may be more to manage that you previously presumed or prepared for—or you may need to really struggle or hustle to achieve that which you set out to gain… do make sure that all necessary components required toward whatever it is you’re willing, forcing, doing, or navigating—make sure that all parts are up to snuff, as unpredictability and unanticipated details are potential now… acquiring last minute needs could be more frustrating than ever considered. For example, if you’re needing to mend something quickly and haphazardly—make sure your mending kit is fully stocked for anything.
Thankfully, when the sun moves through Virgo—despite whatever house it may be moving through within your personal chart—our will and drives are focused upon, as astrologer Dane Rudhyar wrote, “the operations under the pressures of impending crisis…”
And so, where within your own chart that Virgo governs is essential to know… as this will inform you of where the ‘impending crisis’ and ‘competitive urgency’ will be experienced, and will thereby lend you that much more insight toward how you would go about navigating this, and how you could best approach it—and whether something will require mending, or maybe it will need unraveled.
Especially so, as several days later, on September 16th, the sun will exact its opposition to Neptune—which also implies that through the 11th and the solar connection to Uranus is within the orb of this opposition, but that’s another conversation entirely—through a degree that suggests disappointment, loss, and endings. Obviously, sometimes loss can be a really good thing; losing weight, the removal of a tumor, unraveling that which is raveled… but not always. Endings, too, can also suggest release, or imply an accomplishment achieved.
This degree also describes a judgment or a standstill, and/or ‘feeling an obligation to carry on without taking time to sort out issues from the past…’
Again. Where within your personal chart will tell much more in specifics… and I can help with this—it’s sort of what I do *winkwink*
Risk analysis requires a realistic anticipation of awareness and pre-planning—a Virgoan specialty; and it is likely toward matters governed by the house in your personal chart that Virgo rules that you, even unconsciously, analyze risk most naturally and strategically.
Finally, keep in mind that both Virgo and Taurus are earthy in nature, and so whatever manifests for you through this very short transit—keep your focus on the long-term goal, and prepare, simply, what you can with confidence and a strong, capable presence toward what you know to be true, or secure, or settled.
