Sun in Scorpio, Sagittarius
The month of November begins upon the ninth degree of Scorpio—a degree which is within the midsection of the via combusta: a term used to regard, in simplest terms, this time of year… it’s a Latin expression meaning ‘to burn away’, or of the ‘fiery way’, enduring itself from the fifteenth degree of Libra through the fifteenth degree of Scorpio—or from October 8th through November 7th.
Tis the time of year to eliminate that which no longer holds a spark…
You’ve learned, too, that the first decan of Scorpio—spanning from October 24th through November 2nd—is a decan of disappointment, and further still, that things originating within this space tend to occur beyond our control, or outside of context, or are somehow less than what we anticipated, expected, and/or relied upon.
And so now, as we’re entering into the month of November—(hopefully) burning away previous decan-specific disappointments—and moving beyond the intensities of October’s eclipse season—we come to a very honest realization…
Of our actual potential—as well as our potentials through action.
The sun opposes Jupiter on November 2nd through a degree that highlights survival.
This opposition emphasizes ‘living life to the fullest and having the courage to continue on toward goals, even when it seems there is no chance to succeed…’
As it is an opposition with Jupiter—always offering an unexpected boon of sorts—there could even be something of a rescue now, or escape (and as Jupiter is retrograde, this might resemble a rescue or escape from something previously initiated or from something already underway)… a ‘rescue from a situation where [you] are ‘in over your head’…’ or, quite contrarily, ‘where, through some accident of chance, a seemingly enjoyable or ordinary undertaking takes a perilous turn.’
Either way, no matter what the circumstance or occasion—within reason, within the dictates of your personal nativity—there is the striving of survival that assures a resilience through even the most challenging of situations… as long as you don’t give up.
Should you lose hope—you’ve lost everything.

Then the sun moves on to oppose Uranus on November 13th through a degree that inspires the accomplishing of objectives.
At this point—within the larger panorama of everything and anything—you are likely beginning to feel quite determined about something…
Either initiating something new—or eliminating something no longer serving you.
Tis the season, indeed. Congratulations and cheers to your personal evolution!—your potential and opportunity are as available as an oil strike to be pumped and streamlined into that which will move you forward, quite literally.
Do not settle. Do not deter. Do not hesitate.

It is around this time that the sun begins to gain on Mars, which will inevitably exact itself in conjunction by the 18th—but it is important to note that this entire week will definitely feel like a building-up upon something productive, or a ramping up through something somewhat destructive…

The sun then connects to Neptune on November 17th through a degree that offers you the gift of ‘seeing through things…’
Take advantage of this rare blessing.

Next up, the sun connects to Mars in conjunction on November 18th through a degree that motivates ‘setting up and getting started…’
Like, for real—please realize that these energies are strong, dramatic, determined, and entirely fierce—use your energies constructively and not destructively as energy will simply operate in whatever way you instruct it to; you are more in control now than you may understand—use this to move forward rather than impulsively or egoically.
This is also where all of your efforts in preparation now come in handy. Make sure you have everything you need in order, in place, and in queue.

Then the sun moves on to connect to Pluto by sextile on November 20th through a degree that intensifies effectiveness…
What exactly are you willing to do to protect your interests?
What are you willing to do to protect the interests of all involved?
What would you be willing to do to right any wrongs occasioned within?
A sextile is a friendly aspect, and thereby it is more likely that any sacrifice necessary now would be for you, or should you need to sacrifice something, it will be for an ultimate good, rather than experienced as a loss.

This year the sun moves into Sagittarius on November 22nd, and immediately connects to Saturn by square upon the first degree as Mars is still quite close…
This first degree of Sagittarius, quite appropriately, reminisces upon reunions and reconnections.
Try not to linger too long in the past—you’ve got forward movements to concentrate on.
The sun will make no further aspects until December.
Monthly Moon Moods
The Moon Through November
November 5th offers the LQ moon in Leo at 12*40’—this moon will illuminate the inspiration to look at your failures… these energies will require your maturity to do this is such a way as not to scold or shame—but to inspire growth, self-(re)construction, and personal evolution, which can sometimes only be accommodated through the acknowledgement of where we’ve erred. This could prove to be something of a ‘dark night of the soul’ kind of energy—though, regardless, it will influence potentials of reflection, quiet, contemplation and solitude… if you can swing for yourself a way to give yourself a personal retreat of some kind—your soul would be grateful.
November 13th offers the Scorpio new moon at 20*44’—this moon will illuminate yet another opportunity for serious shadow work… these energies will prefer you to embrace understanding, however, over any effort in actual healing through healing methods; genuine understanding may be all that is necessary. Unexpected reality checks abound, for better and/or worse—and the raw reverberations of your inner knowing will feel like a nagging reminder of what you already know, or a new acknowledgement upon something you’d rather not know. In one way or another negligence will be illuminated—either yours or an/Others—and the repercussions of this oversight, be they unintended or sincerely intended.
November 20th offers the 1st Q moon at 27*51’ Aquarius—this moon will illuminate, for you, what needs to be done… these energies will emphasize the very practical matters and measures that are needed in order to keep just that: order. This is also a time for creative expressionism, or the need to create something from nothing. It is possible, as well, that you may be unusually motivated to create a new way of doing something, or handling something, which is motivated from an old way, or from something that is no longer needed or necessary. Finally, it is a time of crisis peaking—particularly toward that which cannot exactly, or so precisely, be prepared for—and so looking to the sector of your reality Aquarius governs may provide further insights into what it might, maybe possibly, I don’t know, but maybe, more likely be directed…
November 27th offer the Gemini full moon at 4*51’—this moon will illuminate our personal monologues, inner self-talk, repetitive dialogues, and actual exchanges with others… these energies will more deeply examine personal statements of sorts—though, more specifically, our deeper truths, whether we actively share these or not. Sometimes, even that which we do not actually voice aloud is quite strongly expressed through nonverbal exchanges and unintended response-reactions. Continued unexpected provocations and/or disturbances will actually be an opportunity for deeper understanding and meaningful learning about yourself—though it likely won’t feel so therapeutically succinct at the time. Extreme viewpoints abound, as well as the dramatizations of personal desires and efforts in asserting these, regardless.
Mercurial Machinations
Mercury in Scorpio, Sagittarius
It is important to keep in mind that wherever Mercury moves is where our interests, ideas, and inspirations are motivated…
In Scorpio, Mercury inspires thoughts on strategy and strategic planning, and then, through Sagittarius, thoughts are motivated much more by mere impulse—particularly those that inspire you to simply experience something, anything, as this is when the mind begins to remember that there is so much to absorb in doing, in living.
In Scorpio—mistakes are unacceptable and discouraged.
In Sagittarius—mistakes are almost like blessings… offering more wisdom and guidance than one would ever presume.
Through the month of November—we’ll need a little of both, in a celestially appropriate balance of each.

First up, Mercury opposes Uranus on November 4th through the same degree the sun highlights on the 13th—Mercury will move through it first, which is a detail—inspiring the accomplishing of objectives.
This raw and unbreakable determination will be explored, first, in mercurial manifestations through the first week, and then actualized, through the sun, throughout the second week of November. This is important to be mindful of.

Next up, Mercury connects to Neptune at 26 on November 6th—the sun will hit this degree on the 18th—a degree that inspires ‘setting things up and getting started…’ and so again: it is through the power of mental manifesting through the first week of the month that really emphasizes actualization through the middle of the month.
What choices are you actively making?
What choices are being made for you?
What choices are necessary now?
This is when you really need to make sure you prepare yourself for what you will need.

Then Mercury connects to Pluto on November 8th—again before the sun—through that friendly sextile, through a degree that inspires balancing interests…
Those questions from above—these really need to be reviewed and answerable through the first week of this month.
Again, these questions are:
What exactly are you willing to do to protect your interests?
What are you willing to do to protect the interests of all involved?
What would you be willing to do to right any wrongs occasioned within?

Mercury moves into Sagittarius—again, before the sun—on November 9th and immediately connects to Saturn upon the first degree, by square (sound familiar?) on the 10th…
Because it’s Mercury—and thereby, your thoughts, your memories, and your ability to more meaningfully understand that which needs to be acknowledged, learned, and processed—go ahead and linger in the past if it’s necessary… but only if it’s necessary.

Mercury moves well beyond, further still, into the degrees of Sagittarius that the sun won’t traverse until December—connecting to Venus on November 15th through a degree that inspires the ‘building upon firm(er) foundations…’
It is possible now—before the sun and Mars begin to move too closely in tandem with one another—to ‘figure out how to put the pieces of some situation together in order to get things under control…’
Hallelujah.
For real.

At this point, Mercury is not only moving well beyond our current understanding—in terms of what will inevitably need to be actualized—through a connection with Chiron on November 20th through a degree encouraging renewal…
Raise your values.
Assign yourself some new goals—ones that outreach your comfort zones.
Be stupidly optimistic toward that which you recognize daily evidence thereof.

Mercury moves rapidly through much of Sagittarius, and moves to square Neptune (and trine the NN) on November 26/27th…
This occurs through a degree that inspires a personal rehearsal of ambitions.
In fact, ‘your greatest advantage lies in trying your hand at what you think you would like to do or be someday and see how you life it… if you don’t have the resources you need, improvise or make do with whatever you can find at hand.’

Venusian Ventures
Venus in Virgo, Libra
Venus begins the month of November separating from a square to Uranus…
And this, let’s be honest, rattled some realities and questioned some stabilities.

Venus then begins to apply an opposition to Neptune on November 3rd through a degree that exudes inspiration and wonderment…
As well as to ‘the importance of taking the initiative and doing something if change is desired…’ and so ‘hope, wonderment, and a belief that all things are possible can easily be lost [if you] over-regulate [your] life through a misguided desire to avoid overexerting mind and body…’
Your aspirations are directly connected to your own higher authority.
Remember this.

Next up, Venus connects to Pluto by trine on November 6th—and though Venus’s perspective of Pluto, through Virgo—this degree attracts deeper insights…
Read between the lines. Take better care of yourself—on purpose. Listen to your heart.

Venus moves into Libra on November 8th, and the moon will illuminate this transition on November 9th. I will try to write a separate post on this.

Venus connects to Mercury by sextile, mentioned above… and, remember, that this is the time of month—mid-month—when everything begins to really ramp up…

Venus then moves to oppose Chiron, on November 22nd, which the moon will illuminate as well, through a degree that reconciles to ‘find alternative solutions…’
Depending upon how mid-month manifestations and actualizations occur for you—this may be a real comfort to you in ways, at this point, remain unimaginable.
Also—be mindful of issues with transportation; problems, delays or mechanical breakdowns.
It is also important, today (and perhaps always), to realize and honestly accept and embrace that when loss is experienced it is an opening to new beginnings, and to, perhaps most crucially, it is Nature’s way to gain your attention to make a change.

Venus ends the month in opposition to the NN through a degree that might even desire an interruption…
Something may be requiring your most devoted attentions and focus—and this time, should you value it (and you should) may make all the difference in moving forward.
Mars Motivations
Mars in Scorpio
Mars is moving along the middle degrees of Scorpio upon the entrance of November, and begins to oppose Uranus by November 11th—which Mercury passes through on the 4th; the sun passing through on the 13th—Mars takes the mid-point perspective of this nearly over-emphasized degree…
You can look above for the previous points of guidance—as both the sun and Mars moving in a day-to-day conjunction for nearly a week is a really significant detail—but do keep these keywords in mind as you proceed: ambitions; aggressions; force; aspirations; enthusiasm; expectations; initiatives; diligence; purpose; goal-orientation; enterprise.
Obviously, with Mars—Mars will pick up in both will and audacious gumption what Mercury tuned into through deeper, more meaningful insight—this degree will absolutely be explored with a particularly powerful confrontation of personal purpose.
You are determined.
You are ready to go.
You are changing your reality…

Besides its moving-in-tandem conjunction to the sun, which is mentioned above, Mars connects to Neptune, by trine on November 16th—through which the sun will highlight on the 17th—the very rare gift of ‘seeing through things…’
I shouldn’t have to tell you twice—when the heavens give you a sign, a gift, or a nod you do not question its ability to fall through… though, questioning your own efficacy may be necessary.
Despite Mars being involved, here, your own egoic motivations—be they as they be—might have nothing to do with whatever olive branch the gods extend for you.

Mars connects to Pluto by sextile at 29 on November 21st—which Mercury moves through on the 8th; the sun on the 20th—which further motivates you to actualize what you’ve previously, and most intentionally, manifested…
You may also need to request help, assurances, or actual support.
It will also be quite essential—if not crucial to you now—to understand the difference between what is working and what is not working, as well as to what may actually work, and what might not… to what is actually useful, and to what is certainly not.

Mars moves into Sagittarius on November 24th and—you’ve guessed it—immediately connects to Saturn by square on November 25th through that over-emphasized first degree, which is absolutely a degree that becomes somewhat exploited through the month of November, as Saturn stations to move directly upon this very degree, as well.

Actively look back at what used to work, what used to be efficient, and to what used to be effectively useful—and then directly apply these in new ways moving forward.

Junctures of Jupiter
Jupiter Rx in Taurus—Degrees 11-8*
Jupiter has no particular hold upon anything this month, via aspect or specific influence, other than its typical expansionary/inflationary tricks and its way of inspiring anything and everything to be that much more… for better or worse.
Otherwise.
When Jupiter moved through the following degrees of Pisces for the first time it was from June 18th to July 10th…
Jupiter will move through these degrees, again in successive order, for the third and final time from January 29th through February 20th, 2024.

November 14th-22nd—9* Taurus: sharing; giving; abundance; enjoyment; celebrations; hope; renewals; joy; beauty; fullness; spiritual gifts
November 22nd-December 1st—8* Taurus: faith; magical miracles; transcendence of difficulty; imagination; resourcefulness; supports
Structures of Saturn
Saturn Rx, Stationing, & Moving Directly in Pisces—Through the 1st Degree
Saturn will station to move directly on November 4th at 0*31’ Pisces, and be moving directly by November 9th at 0*32’ Pisces. Whenever a planets stations, either to retrograde or move directly, it’s a detail—it’s something of a celestial announcement.
When Saturn first moved through this degree it was earlier this year, from March 5-15th, and it’s been moving back through this degree, in retrograde, since October 10th.
After November 27th it will technically be moved beyond this degree, into the next…
Though it is worth noting the significance of this first degree. And the second.
And to pay heed.
It’s essential to acknowledge that nearly every personal planet—from the sun, Mercury, and Mars—connects to Saturn this month, through the first degree, by square, which is an aspect that isn’t known for its cooperation…
This would imply that all things governed by this first degree—noted below—will likely experience some challenges.
These challenges, however, will also, just as likely, offer something of a rewarding experience—after the lessons and endurance of whatever is involved is thoroughly learned, and most deeply endured.
