Sun Libra, Scorpio
Beyond connections to the moon, the sun makes its first aspect to Chiron, in an annual opposition, on October 10th, through a degree that emphasizes consequences, and the need for restraint. Limitations will inevitably be highlighted now, not as punishment, but as a reminder that something much more delicious is just beyond reach… it’s worth the wait, and it will be that much more rewarding, whatever it is.
Next, an opposition to the NN, on October 16th, reminds us that revelations are possible always. Interpretation, however, is typically what invites both err and ire.
On October 19th the sun and Mercury meet in superior conjunction at 26*34’, and so mental/emotional reflections will both boldly and loudly emphasize a broader overview. Observe everything before making any sudden movements.
Before its ingress into Scorpio, the sun connects to Pluto on October 21st for its first square since its annual opposition back on July 22nd… stay on course now—also, you may even hear good news, or be informed of something rather magical.
Once in Scorpio, the sun connects to Saturn on October 23rd… look out and beyond your own (current) reality. Learn something about where you are or what you’re doing. Also, remember that everyone has their own perspective, and make their own decisions upon these varying perspectives, be they better or worse.
The sun makes no further connections until November 2nd.
Monthly Moon Moods
The Moon Through October
On October 6th the Cancer LQ moon at 13*03’… it’s a moon of hidden reserves and inner strengths, new beginnings occurring late, and searching for answers.
On October 14th the NM eclipse in Libra occurs at 21*08’… its a moon of facilitation, trust, major endings from chapters that began two years ago, and—you’ve guessed it: rebalancing.
On October 21st the 1st Quarter moon occurs at 28'*28’ Capricorn… it’s a moon of receiving messages—likely from the LQ moon—and creative visualizations.
On October 28th the FM eclipse in Taurus occurs at 5*09’… it’s a moon of transcending limitations and overcoming difficulties, solving problems, and taking care of ourselves in more fundamentally determined ways.
Mercurial Machinations
Mercury in Libra, Scorpio
Mercury begins the month separating from Uranus, and applying an opposition to Neptune, exact on the 2nd, emphasizing public service and honoring community contributions… today could also mark the end of an ear in some way.
…and connecting to Pluto exactly on October 3rd, exploring the real potency of personal power—and the power of personality… find a balance within yourself.
Mercury’s ingress into Libra occurs on October 5th.
From here Mercury moves to apply to the sun in its superior conjunction on October 19th—mentioned above—though from Mercury’s perspective is one of serious observation, and the specific observations of cause and effect.
This superior conjunction, in itself, applies a square to Pluto, which is exact on October 20, and again, looking forward toward your goals will likely consume much of your day.
On October 22nd Mercury moves into Scorpio.
On October 28th Mercury opposes Jupiter, exploring formalities and learning to follow the lead when others are more informed than yourself.
On October 29th Mercury and Mars meet in conjunction and so a most strengthened style of communication and reasoning are being both explored and employed, and lending yourself, ultimately, to all that you have in most circumstances: your own perspective… though, now, you’ll need to put real effort toward doing it differently.
Venusian Ventures
Venus in Virgo
Venus moves, finally (for some of you), from Leo and into Virgo on October 8th.
Immediately, Venus opposes Saturn on October 10th as the moon illuminates this in conjunction… this opposition occurs through a degree that describes inspiration and upliftment—still, it’s Saturn, so, unless you’re regarding future plans or goals, devoting yourself to change something fundamental about your reality, or considering something quite major—inspiration and upliftment may resemble something more along the lines of simply practical and reasonable.
Venus moves along for some time without any aspect, until October 22nd, when Venus makes a connection to Jupiter (this time not by square), and thereby influences a need to be decisive, or to stand in a position of leadership, or to take matters into your own hands in whatever way otherwise.
On October 31st Venus connects to Uranus (by trine), in which the needs of others will likely become most dramatically and exaggeratedly, and perhaps even wildly, more demanded, honored, given freely, and/or resented.
Mars Motivations
Mars Still in Libra, in Scorpio
Mars begins the month in opposition to the NN on October 3rd… through a degree that accents the focusing upon one’s objectives, and getting your voice heard and your message across.
In tandem with everything else, Mars connects to Pluto before leaving Libra and moving into Scorpio, through square, on October 8th, and once again, the bold and courageous influence of self-empowerment will be emphasized and emboldened.
Mars moves into Scorpio on October 12th and immediately connects to Saturn to move forward with more motivation toward open-mindedness and curiosity, and the development of compassion and empathy—with yourself, and with others.
Beyond the conjunction to Mercury—mentioned above—Mars connects to Jupiter in opposition, on October 28th, and so recognizing yourself for what you contribute—but also for where you lack—will need to be navigated… a real dramatization of values will need to be brought up for review, reassessment, and ultimately, redirection, and revival.
