Solar Spotlights
Sun in Cancer, Leo
The sun will square Chiron on July 12th through a degree that emphasizes romance, though squares, in general, as well as aspects to Chiron, are not exactly romantic…
This sun/Chiron square might end up emphasizing something within relationships that needs to be addressed in an effort to nurture more powerfully healthy exchanges. This could resemble the uncovering of personal fears or preferences that aren’t serving, or wounds that are still healing—especially wounds incurred through egoic demands and/or conditioning. Either way, weaknesses will be emphasized, as well as insecurities, perceived failures, or otherwise unresolved issues—but in a light that inspires effective change.
The sun will then move on to square the Nodes while opposing Pluto, all within a grand cross, a grand cross that will occur within the bends—so this is huge—on July 21st and 22nd. This occurs through a degree that highlights the notion of protecting that which has proven its worth…
You’ll likely be willing to sacrifice that which has not proven its worth—as these days will mark a major turning point within the year—you are well aware of what you need to do in order to be more productive, healthy, constructively critical, active, inspired, effective, and/or successful. This turning point, too, is much more than an average turning point but rather a very critical turning point within the year—it is a point of crisis.
A turning point of crises involve instinct, action, discernment, and attention—and typically these involve, inevitably, either a breakdown or a breakthrough.
Either way, you will not be able to continue on in the ways you’ve previously practiced. Should you be unwilling to change, the results and repercussions of this willful response could be quite disruptive, if not severely damaging long-term.
On July 23rd the sun moves into Leo… and things naturally become larger, louder.
On July 25th the moon moves into the degree point of Scorpio, connecting to the sun by square of the first quarter moon, while opposing the NN and loosely squaring Pluto within a grand cross, intensifying most extremely your personal reactions to anger, wounds, pain, and regrets…
Wallowing in woe will offer no reward—though personal empowerment will be inspired through efforts of reflecting, rebuilding, renovating, and redefining that which needs a major change within your personal reality.
Monthly Moon Moods
The Moon Through July
The month of July begins with a full moon in Capricorn at 11*19’, loosely connected to Mercury at 14*, on July 3rd could influence new opportunities—if you’re open to learning, and listening, even if you think you might already know. These influences are ideal for beginning a new process, for initiating new obligations, and/or taking that first step in new ventures. Finally, you may even receive reality checks toward that which is imbalanced within your personal reality, or toward whatever resources you’re currently requiring in an effort to prepare you for growth. Real potentials are opening to be acknowledged… and taken on.
The LQ moon occurs on July 9th at 17*36’ Aries, conjunct Chiron at 20* Aries might energetically, or even literally, pick at old wounds, or upon wounds still festering… and the only way through this potential pain or emotional crossroads is to take a pause. There will be heightened emphasis to make necessary changes—even if it hurts. There may also be themes of dependency issues—and understanding the difference between actually helping, and egoic interfering. These energies will also feel quite heavy, and so taking more than a reflective pause may be necessary—to go it alone and take a real rest, retreat, or respite would be in order to soothe the soul in many ways.
The new moon in Cancer at 24*56’ occurs on July 17th and occurs within the month’s building grand cross… the actual reality of your personal reality, for better or worse, can no longer be denied, ignored, avoided, or resisted. These energies will influence much in terms of real, actual, and effective changes, as well as taking charge, rising to the occasion, and making major decisions. Consequences, either way, will need to be understood—as reactions over responses will lead to repercussions. Also, relationships will likely need to be re-examined, especially those that are imbalanced and/or unhealthy.
The 1stQ moon in Scorpio, at 2*43’, occurs on July 25th, which is the lunar event mentioned above in the section of the Sun, and will offer energies that inspire necessary reflection toward how we look at and respond/react to pain, anger, fear, and that which is unresolved within our own psyches… it will be a time to think more seriously and more meaningfully about taking action, confronting regrets, and allowing time to grieve for that which has never been given space to appropriately mourn of loss. That which surfaces, for you, from within, will need to be properly confronted, nurtured, corrected and/or resolved, and finally, released.

Mercurial Machinations
Mercury in Cancer, Leo & Virgo
Mercury begins the month separating from its superior conjunction to the sun, then on to oppose Pluto—you can read about these aspectual influences here.
Mercury then applies to the NN and exacts this square on July 10th at 0*05’ Leo, which could be quite loud and/or dramatically expressive… frustrations and tensions needing released will find a voice through which to express all needs and desires that are not being met, however, in Leo, Mercury’s machinations are much more likely to be actualized and/or empowered, with courage and authentic expression.
Mercury squares Jupiter by July 17th through a degree that insists upon feedback, socializing and otherwise express genuine appreciation toward those you love.
Mercury then squares Uranus by July 23rd through a degree that emphasizes audacity, and so you’re likely considering thoughts and envisioning scenarios of a riskier nature than usual, and maybe even more adventurous daydreams—either way there is likely an unusual fearlessness in your thought patterns now… have the audacity to pursue.
Mercury meets a retrograded Venus on July 27th at 29* Leo, which will be illuminated by the moon, just as Venus is stationing, and this is a degree that accents ‘doing what comes naturally…’, as in pursuing any desires or curiosities that allow you new experiences—experiences which will support both your personal growth and self-confidence. You may be seeking out something—something meaningful, something that is yours—to pursue these new curiosities could lead to real growth and spark something much larger than you may realize at first. Keep in mind, too, that however Venus’ retrograde phase is going to manifest for you—Venus will likely present something at this point to be expressed, or the need to learn.
Mercury moves into Virgo on July 28th and will be eager to pursue facts and figures, especially in regard to whatever new pursuits you may have embraced through much of the month—and so learning next steps or otherwise understanding more thoroughly what you’re doing could really become useful.
Mercury applies an opposition to Saturn by July 31st, which exacts itself on August 1st at 6* Virgo, a degree that inspires a new cycle of experience. Tying up loose ends and finishing previous projects becomes highlighted now—as you’re on to the next thing.
Also, life within your personal everyday may begin to feel a bit busied, and there may be an unexpected cameo guest appearance from someone in your past, coming back with something to say, something to ask, or something to share, or something to teach—feelings of deva vu abound, but remember—Venus is retrograde—this person from your past should remain in your past, or will again once more, should you invite them back into your present, once Venus stations direct… this person is merely visiting, and has something essential to share with you.
Venusian Ventures
Venus Stations Rx at 29* Leo
Venus begins the month very much within its upcoming retrograde shadow…
Venus connects to Uranus by square, for the first of three times, on July 2nd (the second square will occur on August 9th and the third will occur on September 29th), through a degree that speaks to communications, and to messages received… and, as Uranus is involved, these communications will likely be unexpected or off in some way, while messages received could be off-putting, or blunt.
These energies, inspired by the Venus/Uranus square, may take up to a week to fully absorb.
Venus finally stations on July 21st at 28*31’ Leo, within orb to aspect the NN by trine—and will again connect to the NN by trine on October 3rd at 25*38’ Leo—which implies that this retrograde, though it will replicate and/or evolve from where you lift off in 2015, will involve experiencing the unfamiliar in unusually bold ways.
At this time, as well, Venus moves into the Venusian phase referred to as Completion.

Mars Movements
Mars in Leo, Virgo
Mars moves through the last degrees of Leo for the first week of July, in between asteroid Pallas Athene and Venus, applying a connection to the NN by trine, providing much more courageous pursuit into unknowns and unfamiliar territories.
Mars moves into Virgo on July 10th and will then begin to inspire more realistic perspectives and work to make necessary improvements and critical changes in the ‘right’ way, or most effective way possible at this time…
Mars meets up with the asteroid Pallas Athene, which it’s been trailing since mid-June, on July 10th, through the first degree of Virgo (as the moon connects to the NN as it moves into Aries and simultaneously illuminates this Mars aspect by trine), inspiring something big, and bold, and will influence actions in connection to active, working strategies—something will likely ‘click’ at this time, and even more so if you’ve been working toward something on your own for quite some time.
It is at this time that you will come to a point—a critical point—a point from which you can no longer turn back. You must continue moving forward. Into the unknown. Into the unfamiliar. Into the wild. And it is at this point that your integrity must follow through with your actions—particularly since this could be a really harsh time in some way, considering all of the other planetary aspects…
Will you have the courage to really, and truly, live your life in the way you want?
Will you honor and sustain your personal principles and values and integrity?
Will you accept the real responsibility—for your actions and decisions—for being alive in this lifetime in regard to your cosmic-soul agreements?
Next, Mars opposes Saturn on July 20th through a degree that demands restraint.
You may want to push forward in some way—either yourself, a project, a goal, whatever—and you may very well think that you can, or should… be forewarned.
Mars/Saturn oppositions have a way of slowing you down quite literally if pushing forward is not what is needed. Consider how you might be slowed down and ask yourself if that would be worth the price/risk of pushing when you shouldn’t.
Because Mars is in Virgo for this opposition—health matters may be involved, or issues with facts, or learning, improving, or maintaining might be slowed.
It takes Mars the next ten days to move beyond the orb of the separation with Saturn, which is to say—the Mars/Saturn opposition restraints will slow you down through the end of the month. Everything with Saturn is always sssssllloooooooooooooooow.
Junctures of Jupiter
Jupiter in Taurus: Degrees 10—14*
Jupiter makes no real cameo this month, though it does appear to supportively emphasize everything else that is occurring celestially through the planetary alignments, as you can see for yourself…

Saturn in Pisces, Rx: Backward Through Degrees 8—6*
Saturn connects to Mars in opposition at the end of the month, and this has been mentioned previously, above, in the Mars section—however, look below to refer to what degree this opposition will occur—Saturn will be at 7* Pisces when in opposition to Mars, and I have italicized this section, though it is also the time of month that everything building will begin to really breakdown or breakthrough.
