Sun in Pisces, Aries & the Spring Equinox
The month of March, for the sun, begins in separating from its triple conjunction with Mercury and Saturn in Pisces, which was delineated in last months’ planner. Otherwise, the sun has little to highlight this month—other than its annual entrance into the season of spring, this year on March 19th at 8:08pm PDT—and an annual conjunction to Neptune.
The annual conjunction to Neptune occurs two days before the equinox—on March 17th—through a degree that describes culminations…
Accomplishments and rewards may be a result of much hard work through the cold, dark wintery months, or perhaps the fruits of your labors—for however long you’ve been managing them and sustaining them—are now finally ready to be harvested.
However this might emerge for you—manifestations abound.
As this degree is within Pisces, which Neptune governs, these manifestations may, indeed, be but within your imagination—or your sacred ideal, within the trappings of your mind’s eye or the heartbeat of your energetic vibration… it may be something entirely intangible, invisible and/or individually conjured. Still—it could be really boon of inspiration, nevertheless, should you know how to appropriately direct its essence.
And, obviously, the spring equinox occurs upon the first degree of Aries—the very first degree of the zodiac—which embodies the absoluteness of newness and beginnings… this, indeed, is the astrological new year—the point in time when our celestial clockworks, as it were, are realigned with the patterning of our potentials.
We all want for things… things, time, talents, treasures and true love—but what is it we really need?
This is the essence of this time of this year—to plant the eager seeds in what is now fertile soil, to be nurtured as the year evolves, and to be harvested when its available to enjoy and appreciate. Time and effort are demanded to be put into that which is what is genuinely needed—these luxuries do not fall from clear skies.
Monthly Moon Moods
The Moon Through March
On March 3rd—the LQ moon in Sagittarius at 13’32* challenges you to find inspiration in ordinary things, and within everyday experiences, through the authenticity of your beliefs, ideals, and personal philosophies… and to challenge yourself and your beliefs, ideals and personal philosophies—and to acknowledge the reaction within yourself, especially when you trip up on your own ideologies. However this occurs or emerges—it will be both liberating and instructive.
From the 3rd through the 10th the moon moves from Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and into Pisces within its balsamic phase… and this time emphasizes the in-between gray areas; the limitations within your life and how you might overcome them; how you think about the future; and how you pray, meditate, use ritual and/or experience All That Is.
On March 10th—the NM in Pisces at 20’17* will have you dreaming… likely about something very near the diversities or specializations of something. Meaning and symbolism and archetype is genuinely important now, as are the differences within yourself from others—it is important to find ways in which you might be separate, yet together; however symbolic, metaphorical, or actual you can explore or imagine. We continue to hear that we are ‘all in this together…’ but what does that actually mean to you?
From the 10th through the 16th the moon moves from Pisces, Aries, Taurus and Gemini within its crescent phase… and this time emphasizes the ways in which you internalize your personal fantasies; your goals and ideals; the connections within the small-scale work and the cultivating of something meaningful; and the ways in which we communicate, and why.
On March 16th—the 1st Q moon in Gemini at 27’04* challenges you to start over in some way while painfully and honestly examining the ways in which you use your words to ‘more effectively get what you want…’ and being confronted with the consequences for this.
From the 16th through the 25th the moon moves through Cancer, Leo, Virgo and into Libra within its gibbous phase… and this time emphasizes the ways you give, particularly to family, specifically in regard to joy and nurturing; the ways you creatively express yourself and your emotions—particularly in front of others; how you take into account the obligations you owe, and the obligations owed to you; and how you express your romantic side—how you share your love, both with yourself and with others.
On March 25th—the FM/eclipse in Libra at 5’07* will be a really big damn deal… it will emphasize a need to fight for what you believe in, in absolutely revelatory ways. Something hidden will likely be exposed, and something ‘wrong’ will likely be discovered, though the emphasis may be upon the material and/or the physical. Personal stuff, too—anything to do with you and your you-ness. And any ‘fighting’ you may feel the need to do—you’ll likely be on your own, or it will be a fight required or demanded only for you. Patience will try to be enforced… but befriending and/or confronting your own demons will likely not be a choice.
After the eclipse the moon will move through the remaining degrees of Aries, into Taurus, and so on, within its disseminating phase… and this time emphasizes how you work with others when necessary toward mutual goals; how you create change within your reality… on purpose; how you invite and/or challenge ideas that may or may not be aligned with yours; and how you… oh, I’ll leave it for next month.
Mercurial Machinations
Mercury in Pisces, Aries
As mentioned above, along with the sun—Mercury begins the month of March separating from a tripe conjunction to Saturn…
Next, Mercury connects to Neptune, in conjunction, on March 8th—through the same degree the sun connected through, a degree describing culminations, which is to say: the reaching of a highest point or development, or to end or arrive at a final narrative.
Mercury moves into Aries on March 10th—and I will be writing a separate post regarding these energies…
Mercury then connects to the NN, in conjunction, on March 18th—through a degree accents the endings and beginnings of things, as well as the natural cycles of life. To think—the month of March may emerge to be something of a death/rebirth kind of energy, and therefore very true to form in regard to calendrical symbolism of it all. There will be sadness, and happiness, and bittersweet reality-checks—all within a volume that is most aggressive, confrontational, and absolutely ‘act-first’ in nature.
Finally, Mercury will connect to Chiron, also through conjunction, on March 20th—through a degree that describes enjoyment, though, with Chiron, enjoyment isn’t so much an opportunity as it might be an obligation or a disappointment…

Venus in Aquarius, Pisces
Right off the bat—on March 3rd—Venus squares Uranus, through a degree that surprises you with certainty, though it may be the kind of certainty that isn’t as routine as other certainties…
By March 11th, Venus moves into Pisces, and I’ll be writing a separate post for these energies…
On March 21st Venus connects to Saturn, in conjunction, through a degree that associates influences from the past—and Saturn is Father Time; today may be nostalgic, painful, and/or bittersweet in ways that are more mature than when you last remembered or entertained the reveries otherwise.
By the end of the month, Venus is applying a conjunction to Neptune, which will be exact onApril 3rd, at 28’00* exactly—a degree that acknowledges advantages…
Mars Motivations
Mars in Aquarius, Pisces
On March 9th Mars squares Uranus through the same degree Venus connected through—though, with Mars, this degree resembles more action than mere reassurances through heart-centered efforts. In other words, certainties will be made certain through means of doing rather than merely being, or thinking, or feeling, or envisioning. Something has to actually give.

These degrees, respectively, describe confusions and reconsiderations…
However, as we are perceiving these words through a Uranian perspective—Uranus provokes and upsets whatever it encounters… so utilizing these energies is only useful when used appropriately.
Further, since December 10th—and now, through March 11th (this degree of confusion has been, shall we say: active, due to retrogradation, and so, with this, we know that we have been here before—somewhat; it is now—through March 11th—that these confusions could very well be solved or resolved, or, at the very least: absolved):
Beyond confusions, severe changes; instabilities; agitations; diffusions; disturbances; transiencies; turmoil; scattered-ness and excitements have been provoking much since December. These degrees, respectively, describe completions and culminations…
Appropriate—you can feel it even, yes?—particularly toward our inner envisions, and that which inspires us forward.
Reviews and looking forward… what else is to be said?
Neptune has been illuminating completions since February 7th and will continue to illuminate this nuance through March 7th.
Neptune will begin illuminating nuances of culmination on March 7th, with culminations culminating through April 3rd.
Plutonian Penetrations'
Pluto in Aquarius—2*
This second degree of Aquarius that Pluto is penetrating through April 11th is one of ‘probabilities of the improbable’.
This degree empowers notions of power and potential—as does Pluto itself—and ‘to the fact that there are some things in life that individuals simply can’t control… natural inclinations of all situations eventually climax in one form or another’.
Changing conditions are occurring—intensely.
The last time Pluto was within this degree was from January 7, 1779 through February 7th, and then again from August 8th through December 16th of 1779—due to retrogradation… and, according to google—as Pluto was moving in one direction or another through this degree through most of 1779—the American Revolutionary War was ongoing and largely in the thick of battle (1760-1789) and Captain James Cook was killed on the Sandwich Islands; Zebulon Pike was born, as well as Francis Scott Key…
It is important—if not essential—for ‘one to to develop a sensitivity to these changing conditions and to be consciously aware of the responsibility for one’s own role in the larger scheme of things… there are no accidents.’
Built-up tensions, particularly—especially through the end of the month, upon the eclipse—will likely boil until overflowing… crisis, chaos, and challenges all eventually alchemize into useful catharsis, character, and cleansing.
Things may not turn out as you expect or anticipate.
All matters are fair-game to reach a boiling point. Within and all around you.
