This is one of those hugely—either underrated or overrated—magical aspect combinations, one which bestows something of a cosmically ordained feeling…
Of course—Venus with Jupiter is quite lovely… as Aphrodite and Zeus pretty much ran Mt Olympus and received anything they ever wanted, effortlessly, without obstacle, and everyone—who was anyone—wanted to be them… much like how we feel toward celebrity, or the elite. Times never change. When we’re being completely honest with ourselves—deep down within—we all want a smidge of entitled reward.
And so, it is with Venus and Jupiter—the reward of an entitled feeling of fated ease… graced upon us all from the gods above—for no reason, other than being.
Now.
This is where it becomes interesting.
Typically, energies brought together by trine are lovely—despite the planetary combination… however, what is not as well-known is how these trine energies should be utilized to be most effective. Again, typically, these kinds of energies—especially those involving Jupiter—are simply enjoyed, precisely because these energies are so lovely and easy and smooth…
But then nothing at all comes from this. Like a vacation day wasted away at the beach.
Also, of note—Jupiter is currently retrograde… so maybe a beach day is appropriate, lol
However. Should you wish to utilize this time more—dare I offer, creatively—then these energies will absolutely dazzle your efforts…
Astrologer Dane Rudhyar speaks of the degree through which this lovely entitlement occurs—as an opportunity for active participation, to realize the essence of the degree… Rudhyar writes, that there is a ‘need to involve one’s most spiritual and vital energies in the creative act if it is to produce significant and beautiful new forms…’ and that it is not possible to create new forms without both the fire of one’s deeply felt emotions, and the ‘breath’ of one’s total being—these combined, fire and air, create sand, which is to imply, “remains of the past”.
What is created today, then, will become something that goes forward with you…
What it will require to create something real, something sacred, August 18—is your most deeply felt emotions, and desires, in combination with your breathing of being.
When Venus is in Leo, Venus is wildly passionate and fiercely expressive—much like an actress/celebrity, Venus in Leo needs the spotlight of everyone’s attention. And when Jupiter is in Aries, our ideals become top priority… even when retrograde, Jupiter’s influence offers a courageous ability toward honest reflection for the sake of pioneering our best strengths and working on our vulnerabilities without unwanted fanfare. Today would be an ideal day to take advantage of creative ways to look honestly at yourself—in the mirror, even—and explore how you might give your ‘look’ a little more attention, or maybe your presence… Aphrodite and Zeus may have held power and sway and entitlement, true—but they were also quite stunning to look upon, and to be in their presence, with such magnetism oozing from either of them… it is said that it was overpowering, and not recommended at all for mortals…
It’s no wonder why some of us need not even be creative at all.
